So much preparation for 20 minutes of photos, but it's worth it. It was almost 80 degrees the afternoon we took these. Who would have thought in October it would be so hot? I was expecting us to have vests or long-sleeved shirts when we scheduled. The best thing about these is that Cooper is wearing the same shirt Griffin had on in our family pictures from several years back.

Daycare Pictures 2017
The daycare offered Fall pictures this year through a local photographer we have never used. I was excited to see how they would turn out; she didn't disappoint. I told the ladies to give Griffin a thumb and saliva wipe down since he had to take his after a full day of kindergarten. Not too bad!
How did I get so lucky?

2017-2018 School Picture
School pictures went really well this year!
This little hunk gets more handsome all the time. I don't know what we will do with him as a teenager.

I bought a matted frame to hold his school pictures for the next 12 years. It has a sweet poem that will show until his senior year photo covers it up:
Photos of school days are treasures
Of a very special kind
And every time we see them
They bring wonderful memories to mind
As the years are passing swiftly by
There are so many things to recall
Beginning with kindergarten
When you were very small
You are building a foundation
That you'll use your whole lifelong
Enjoy these school days with all your heart
Too soon they will be gone.

August Monthly Update
Both boys were especially hams for the August photos.
Griffin is really into winking when I try to take a picture of him. He thinks it's hilarious. Cooper wanted to make silly faces because big brother did. This month signifies him turning 3. I have not missed a single monthly picture for either of them so far. I hope I can keep it up!!
Now that I'm working in town, I often run home at lunch and let the dogs out. This day they enjoyed the pond and a run behind the gator. You can also get an idea of how blazing fast Cotton is.
We took the boys bowling one evening ahead of Cooper's birthday party. They both loved it and I'm glad they were able to get warmed up before the event.
Also this month, a rare solar eclipse. We were in 97% totality and though it didn't get dark, it was very eerie looking outside for a few minutes. The street lights came on naturally.
We are closer to moving the horses up by the new house with the addition of automatic waterers. The dogs love them too.
Griffin started to really practice riding his bike without training wheels. Honestly, he's terrible. I don't know if I've ever heard of a kid with less balance. We had some good laughs and are making slow progress.
