June Monthly Update

June is probably best summarized by photos with captions.

Our adventure with Scratchy began......

Drew went home for lunch one day and found this sweet girl at our house. She was in ROUGH shape and looked like a big itchy mess. She was great with the kids and other dogs but you could tell she'd had a rough life.

We took her to the vet and discovered she had "shown up" to a house down the road from us and they had brought her in as well. She didn't have mange but was being treated for her skin issues. We had her spayed and just as Drew was contemplating keeping her, they found that she was heartworm positive. Major dilemma for us and our other dogs. We decided to research a rescue that would take her and with connections to the animal shelter that used to be in Texas county, I was hooked up with a lady in STL who got her into a rescue there. She seems very happy and I'll look for updates as they get her treated for heartworms.

Tipper loves to ride in the car and stare down other vehicles

I had to document this hilarious find in the backseat one night.

Scratchy loved to follow Drew around

The boys both had great checkups at the dentist. I was SOOOO happy to hear that we didn't need any more "robot teeth" after last year.

After the dentist, the kids and I were able to have dinner with Grandma Delores and Grandma Kathi for their birthdays.

We had a quick but lovely visit with the Phillips family one evening and delivered a table for their beautiful new home.

After weeks of trying, we finally scheduled a day for the Peck family to come down from Springfield and ride horses. Lorna and Brenna did great riding around the house, then Tessa and I took a lap back into the woods. It had been way too long since I had trail rode anywhere.

Griffin continues to be a Lego master. He put this 4 piece set together (semi, trailer, 2 trucks) all by himself by following the directions in the book.

Cooper's favorite place to sleep: in between pillows

Both boys continue to love to fish.

5 years old going on 40......

Shiloh came down for Father's Day and we had a nice BBQ lunch with Grandpa Don.

We celebrated Tammy's birthday with a no children dinner and bowling night.

And the monthly pics for these handsome devils:
