January Monthly Update

Hello New Year!

Griffin and Cooper are learning to play, share, fight, love each other and everything else. It's fun to watch. I can't imagine how things will be by the time 2017 rolls around.

This month has been exciting and exhausting so far. We are in full swing on house decisions and choices. We've spent 2 Saturdays in Springfield for that, with another one planned this weekend. That is the one bad thing about living an hour from major retailers, you can't just run to Lowe's or a showroom after work or on lunch. By mid-year, we hope to be moving into a new home.

We also might experience our first Cooper family beach vacation now that we are all grown. Maybe not, if we don't get on the ball and book a house. As much as I want to, I just haven't had time to help narrow it down farther.

We look forward to everything that is to come.

big brother is great at giving rides around the house

Drew sent me this snap of Cooper while they waited an hour at the last doc visit

Griffin and I had a date night at Subway

The Phillips family got out of the city for a day and visited us. I loved snuggling baby Josie. Every time I hold a newborn, I swear my kids were never that small. Funny how it's so natural to handle your children, but other babies seem so fragile. Cooper and Griffin loved hanging with these girls.

Cooper is a ham, and getting good at climbing. He loves to get on the table/chairs/anything tall.

this is our "lion king baby" move

Drew and I did have one major event.....a Thomas Rhett/Jason Aldean concert in Springfield last Saturday night. Shiloh and Chris hooked us up with a hotel room and we had a great time.

The other couple that was going to join us was unable, so we had 2 extra tickets on our hands. I jokingly looked on Craigslist and found someone looking for 2 (it was a sold out show). Reluctantly, I sent them a message. They seemed very legit, so we took a chance! We were relieved to find they were nice, normal, fun and everything worked out.......and they even forced us to take and extra $20!

here's our new friends!

My night was made when Thomas Rhett decided to come up our aisle for high-fives. I was sad when I turned around and saw the woman behind me hugging him. Why didn't I think of that?

that sweet baby face on Drew.....awww!
We were feeling especially friendly, as we made friends with this couple in the middle by hopping in a cab with them to go downtown. They were a lot of fun too.

Sunday was the first day in a while that was semi-warm enough to go outside. I can't wait to see both boys running wild in the yard when the weather gets nicer.

Sorry about this, but I couldn't resist:

And finally, monthly photos for both rascals. They sure are handsome.

Griffin is officially 4 1/2 years old.

Christmas 2015 Part 2

We were very fortunate to have 3 solid days together as a family at the Cooper house. It might not seem like a blessing at times, but considering it's the one time that we all get together in a year..... through all the craziness, it really is.

The forecast called for cold temps and rain, and it did not lie. Hopefully, next year will have much more time spent outside.
