December Monthly Update

Dear December,

I hardly remember you.

So much activity and things to do and people coming/going and excitement.

We were happy to experience you but are glad you are gone.

Thanks,

Sarah

The boys really grew up in December. Cooper has started talking so much more. Maybe he's just getting more repetitive or attempting more words; maybe he's just becoming easier to understand. We welcome it, because we've all been really frustrated with his "terrible two-ness". He is also working on getting all his molars.

Griffin is really learning consequences to his actions and has become such a comedian. One night, he was in trouble for not listening and me repeating myself too many times. I pointed him to his room for a time out while I said, "To your room!" He rolled his eyes.....big mistake. I immediately told him "You do not roll your eyes!!" to which he turned around and said with such conviction, "I DO realize!!!" Somehow, I was able to explain what rolling your eyes meant without him noticing I was smirking a little.

Cooper and Griffin have both loved this train at Ma & Pa's house since they were little. Cooper's now big enough to work it.

Griffin and I signed up for a bell ringing shift for the Salvation Army. Even though it was super cold that day, he did really well. A little shy at first, since a lot of people wanted to give him the money to put in the pail himself.  One nice lady came out of the grocery store with a candy bar for him!

Cooper loves Ma's little train just as much as Griffin did at his age.

Lazy weekend mornings are the best

Right before Christmas, Cooper converted to a big boy bed! Both boys' cribs were built to convert from crib-toddler bed-full size bed, and that was really nice. Griffin waited a lot longer for his big boy bed. We reasoned that Cooper was used to sleeping in a bigger bed with his brother or us, and with Christmas company coming, it just made sense. He wasn't sure at first but is enjoying it now. Imagine him kicked back, hands behind his head, watching some Mickey Mouse.

Both boys are great help in the kitchen. They made some AWESOME cookies with Tammy one night.

Just a normal Friday night, strutting at Walmart.

Jordan invited us all over to make Gingerbread houses. It was our first time. Madness!

We love snapchat filters.

And a funny one that Aubrey took at daycare....

I get this photo one day at work......this is the daycare director's daughter......

We celebrated Ashley's birthday with a surprise dinner and bowling afterward. Drew is actually very good for not bowling in the last 10 years. He beat us all in the first game, but let the birthday girl come out on top in Round 2.

We had a nice, low-key New Year's Eve.

And our monthly pics:
