Sisters 48

My oldest sister has said it before, and it's true. The best gift my parents ever gave me was my sisters.

The stars aligned last weekend and we were able to have a sister's weekend getaway together!!

I believe it started as Shiloh and I deciding that we both wanted to do the Richard Petty Driving Experience before the year was up, which turned into "let's stay the night in Kansas City", which turned into "it would be cool if Shasta would fly in from DC and meet us", and she ended up booking her ticket a couple days before it all went down! It ended up being about 48 hours together, but every minute was top quality!!

We picked Shasta up at the airport close to midnight on Friday. After staying up late to eat and chit chat, we got to our room near the race track so we would be ready for Saturday morning. The man helping you get dressed to ride along in the car told us that people say riding at 165 MPH is more thrilling than sky diving. I can see that. This was a fun thing to cross off the to do list!

And here is my video..... but what I really need is for Shiloh to upload her video because it is so good, they might use it on the website.

Afterward, we went to the indoor shooting range to get a little practice in with our pistols that we don't get to shoot often.

Over the course of the weekend, we found ourselves (2 times) at Dancefestopia.
This photo doesn't do it justice. Imagine dreads, bikinis, hula hoops, random objects on poles, LOTS of good people watching, and a if I didn't have it already, probably a heart murmur from the bass.

Saturday night we stumbled upon a Three Days Grace concert at the Power & Light district and lots of pizza and dancing.

On Sunday, we booked something called Breakout KC

"Breakout Kansas City is a brand new entertainment game in Downtown Kansas City’s River Market. Your goal is simple: you have 60 minutes to breakout from one of our real life escape rooms. Crack the codes. Use your gut. Solve the riddles. Find out if you have what it takes to breakout in time!"

We worked with 5 other women that were all family somehow since each session is booked for 8 people total. They contributed mentally some, but definitely in clue finding and searching the room. You actually need that many people to be working on things all at the same time.

I can't talk about how crazy it was or give any details. But of course we broke out. And it was exhilarating! 18 seconds to go!!

What a great weekend!!
