We had been making monthly visits to the shelter to see the animals, and Tipper caught my eye like several dogs have done since Duke. The difference was that Griffin and Cooper really seemed to love her too. I had never been able to pull the trigger until now. It's been an adjustment, but we are happy to have her.
She came to the shelter in December....
Our first meeting:
Another visit in December:
Then another visit around New Year's:
By the January visit, she was weaning her puppies:
All 6 of her puppies found loving homes.
she loves to ride in the car |
She really loves the boys and usually sleeps in one of their beds. When Drew is trying to wrestle with them, she often barks and growls in a protective way. I love her mix of calm yet playful personality.
She and Cotton love each other. Tipper is surprisingly fast and LOVES to be outside, so Drew takes them both on walks/runs around the farm together.
And that concludes the story of Tipper so far.
She's a good girl, I just think I'll miss Duke forever.
