The last photo is just to document that all Griffin cares about at this point is showing off his armpit fart ability. He self taught in a matter of days. Perseverance.

First day of school 2018!
We are first day of school veterans at this point. Griffin had absolutely no hesitation. It may have helped that Mrs. Pearson is a family friend, and that Griffin already knew her. Shasta and (then later) I used to babysit Mrs. Pearson's now twenty-something year old son Drew when he was little. We got a good one and he is excited to see what this school year brings.

First day of school 2017!
Another successful first day in the books. Summer school seemed to really help Griffin prepare for full days and no naps. He didn't hesitate on the first day at all. I think it was also due to the open house the school had where we met all the teachers and he was able to familiarize himself with his new room. We are crossing our fingers that he doesn't see the principal this year! I also enjoyed taking him on his first day and am once again thankful that I work in town now and have zero stress about being around for these days.
Here's to a great first year and beginning of a school career. Class of 2030 or bust!

First Day of Preschool!
Thursday of last week was the big day!
Griffin had been waiting to start school for a long time. We've been to registration and Open House in the last couple weeks. He was tired of short visits and ready to stay. A lot of parents had asked me if I was sad or going to cry.......well, no. But if you keep asking me then I might!
The morning of went really well. I was able to do a couple fun things thanks to Etsy and we got a variety of fun photo props.
Since it was a big day, I was able to be a part of the drop off at school.
He was not sad to see us go. I'm pretty sure I hung around and said bye multiple times. It was a big day but I am happy to see him grow up into the handsome, smart little boy he is.
They offer a curbside drop off at school. Drew has been taking him in the days since and Griffin has requested that Drew walk him in every morning, but no tears or bad feelings toward school at all so far! We're hoping for a great year!
