Baby Brother's 3D Ultrasound

Today was our 3D ultrasound for baby boy #2. I was considering not doing it until I imagined him asking one day why Griffin was special enough to get a CD/DVD and he wasn't. I'm trying really hard to give him the same treatment, although I hear it's natural for most children after your first to not get as many pictures, videos, etc. I may have set the bar too high. Ha!

Baby brother was very uncooperative but after walking in the parking lot, drinking Sunny D, flipping from back to side, and a lot of pushing around by the ultrasound tech........we finally got a few pictures in the last 5 minutes of an hour's worth of trying. His hands and a foot were in his face pretty much the whole time. I appreciate the reassurance of knowing he's doing fine in there. Also, the confirmation that he is definitely a he.

We also got to see him yawn several times....here's a real creepy open-mouth shot in 2D:

Baby #2: It's a.........

We have been very busy lately with several big things happening, and sadly, I haven't had a chance to create a post about some very important news. Last Wednesday was my 20 week appointment and our anatomy scan for baby #2.

Since we can't wait until birth to find out the gender of our children, I decided the next best thing was to wait until that evening. I researched different creative ideas and when I found one I liked best, we scheduled to have a local photographer snap some pics for us during the big reveal moment. It was such a thrill to leave the doctor's office and hold an envelope that contained the answer! The best part of it all had to be Griffin getting to help and be a part of something so exciting.

We only have a few preview pictures so far, but I was able to create an announcement photo out of what she sent. More to come when she gets the finished edited images to me.

IT'S A BOY!!

We are so excited to see Griffin grow up with a brother. Hopefully, they can be lifelong best friends and share many adventures together.

Here are the ultrasound images she printed for us:

And for fun here are Griffin's ultrasound pics for comparison (since I wasn't blogging during his pregnancy) -- they are very similar, aren't they?
