A lot of people say something to the effect of: if their 2nd child had been their first, they might not have had more children. The opposite is true for me. At year 4, Cooper J remains so sweet, so mellow, so smiley and loveable. I want to be sad that he is growing up, but that is a privilege denied to so many.

We celebrated Cooper's birthday the weekend prior at his choice place....the bounce house.
He had his annual check up with Dr. Sponenberg on his birthday. We picked up Grandma Delores and went for Hibachi lunch. He wasn't too sure!
I pray often for the strength required to raise my strong-willed, inquisitive, and unbelievably brave boy. We are thankful for every loud, fun-filled day with him. I can't believe that he is 7, but I'm so proud that he is my handsome first born.

McClenahans were in town for his actual birthday dinner for the first time ever.

The benefit to having a summer birthday, is the almost guarantee of a pool party!
Griffin did something really cool this year. Since he was having a pool party at the city pool and wanted to invite a ton of friends, we made a deal that he would not get that many gifts. Instead, he chose to include a letter in his invitation, asking everyone to bring items for Operation Christmas Child.
A week or so after the party, we scheduled to go to the church and assemble boxes.
And here is his 7 year old interview......in all its glory.....
