The strawberry pickin' tradition continues......

We found a little time on Saturday morning to make a trip with Grandpa Don to the strawberry patch in Mountain Grove. Cooper did great and helped fill the box with plenty of mangled, partially eaten berries. Griffin was busy looking for a couple purple ones to take to Aunt Shiloh, but settled for some red instead.

We are looking forward to next year!

Childhood Memories

When I was little, I remember going with my Dad to the strawberry patch. You can pick yourself or buy them already out of the field. I'm not sure what fun that would be, although fresh strawberries do taste better and support the local economy. I thought this year might be a good one to start taking Griffin so we met with Grandpa Don yesterday and headed out.

row after row

short little golf cart ride to where they want you to start

At first, Griffin just picked (red or green/white, he wasn't discriminating) and put them in the basket. But once he tried one......he stopped contributing to the harvest.

still eating......
