November Monthly Update

The year is almost over, and the holiday season is here.

It's so fun to watch the boys grow up. We've been so out of sorts that I feel like I'm missing out on lots of video and picture opportunities. Let me see if I can recap the month of November.

Griffin had a few weeks of YMCA basketball. He enjoyed it!

Bennet spent the night with us, his first night anywhere!

Griffin sneakily found these empty "treasures" and brought them home in his backpack one day.

A few pics snapped at Mimi's service

This video was on Mimi's phone, when we quickly looked for photos for the service. You can barely hear her in the background.

My facebook yard sale mega find of a table/8 chairs/buffet was finally finished being repainted!!

Here's the before:

I failed at getting any pictures during Thanksgiving, but Jillian had this really cute one.

Hensleys had a cookie decorating party!

I was laying with Griffin in his bed while he fell asleep one night. I said to him, "You haven't had any accidents lately and I'm very proud of you." This is referring to bathroom issues and mainly bedwetting. He looked me straight in the eye and as serious as he could be he said, "I've had MULTIPLE accidents today." I guess knocking a cup of milk from Cooper's hands, kneeing him in the face, dropping a fall decor plate in the stairs and breaking it were still on his mind!

They finally got Soccer pictures to me, here's our Pele in the making:

Griffin and Cooper love to play "puppy" with each other. Cooper is always the puppy, and is the most obedient one I've ever seen. They will do this for an hour!

And the rascals' monthly photos:

September Monthly Update

Fall has arrived! The weather is slightly cooler and we are loving it. We've been in the new house a whole month and it still is a little weird when I open my eyes in the morning!

Cooper has been, busy, busy playing with trucks and tractors. He really loves pushing them back and forth across the back deck. He is also learning to share, be opinionated about his food and clothes, and wrestle with brother/Dad/Mom. It's pretty adorable.

Another big development is in the potty training world. He pretty much is at daycare......home is another story. He has successfully gone on the potty, but we'll continue to work at it!

Griffin has adjusted well to school and the new house. He was a little scared at first, but now he is running around with no fear. He's really moved into the role of taking care of Cooper, more so than just looking after him and yelling when he's about to hurt himself. I've seen him take his hand twice in the last week, once was to help him as we crossed a street.

Here's a major case of photo catch-up to summarize September:

Cooper fell asleep eating for the first time ever, at daycare.

the boys got flu shots - Griffin knew what was coming

I found an adorable kitten on the highway one night. He lives with our daycare friends Harper & Gracie now, and they have named him Griffin.

We had our very first fire! Hot dog roast and s'mores!

 Complete with a weird sunset.

Another year of Little Kickers is in the books! Griffin did great. He even fist pumped when he "almost" scored goals. A big change from the crying of last year.

PAT held a grandparents night at the school, and our boys were lucky to have so many there to do fun activities with them.

Josh and Nicole came for an overnight stay. We did some shopping and got the elk hung in the stairs.

Griffin loves babies!

Griffin loves to ride his bike at the lake, and little brother loves to run beside him.

Griffin and his preschool class

I took my very first work training trip solo to Jefferson City. After the first day, I went for a scenic run around the capital.

Missouri River

We have bears visiting the farm.......or really our backyard.

The garage sink paid for itself when Coopster had a major blowout in a pull up. I was able to get him manageable before ever entering the house.

Griffin was treated to a day at Silver Dollar City with Bennet and his mom. Lucky boy.

We are very fortunate and we know it. As I recap and remember all the fun and laughter that was September, it makes me realize again, to not take a single day for granted. Life goes by too fast.
