For the first time in forever, Cabool had a circus come to town. A big tent, lions and tigers, the whole kit and caboodle. It was a chilly night, but the kids enjoyed it.
Cotton and Boomer have definitely benefited from me no longer working full-time. They are in heaven with all the extra attention.
Griffin is getting super creative and loves to write/draw. These are a couple keeper items that he's produced lately.
He also loves to sing. So he happily provided me with these gems.
Some friends are ours welcomed a baby boy and we had them over for dinner. Griffin loves little babies and got to hold little Wade himself.
My dear friend Tessa came down for a scheduled Mom's day. On the agenda was our favorite activity, riding the horses! I love when those days happen.
This is my arm compared to my leg after that day |
I started another major landscaping project I'm calling the "memorial garden". Mostly because my co-workers at the time that Marta passed gave me a gift certificate to a local nursery for a tree in her memory. This area near our generator/transformer/well/gas tank would be such a pain to mow around that I decided to make it one giant planter.
This is before and the after pictures will be later.
Griffin switched to Coach Pitch this year instead of T Ball. It was a bit of a challenge but he is much better off and had a lot of fun.
friends from another team ended up eating dinner with us |
I coordinated the purchase and release of 9,000 minnows around multiple ponds at the farm. Johnson, Gramps, and I got them all cozy in their new homes one morning.
Daycare had the annual benefit dinner and show in April as usual. Neither of our kids had a huge role since Griffin is "school aged" now and Cooper is not quite to graduation yet.
Lots of time has been spent working outside. Cooper is helpful and also gets his naps in like a good boy.
Cooper had a special moment with George during turkey season.
Progress pics of my memorial garden.
Morel mushrooms found at the farm during turkey season |
Cooper has a new trick that he learned from a teenage girl working at the daycare. He knows he's cute and he uses it to his advantage.
Tipper gets all the love she can handle.
I finally got out my real camera to start taking pictures again. The cell phone is quick and easy but doesn't get the quality that I have with most of Griffin's younger days.
Griffin took these 3 pictures himself.
Spring Soccer wrapped up:
And finally, their monthly photos in the chair. I'm still keeping this up!
