What a weekend!

We spent last Saturday working on a mile long list of projects. Drew went to tag calves and get hay. I took the kids to the local animal shelter for our periodic visit. I've got my eye on a really sweet female dog there. I don't know that she would be interested in hunting, but we had decided that Cotton needed a partner. I don't want to replace Duke, but I also don't want Cotton to grow up without any dog interaction. They almost had me talked into bringing her home for a trial run, but I'm glad I didn't since Drew is gone this week and we haven't been home much. Later on, the boys and I took part of a hot tape fence down while Drew cut some brush from our driveway. That evening, I got a run in with Cotton and Drew picked rocks from the creek bed for a walkway at our new house. We finished the evening with a small get together with friends. We were exhausted!

Sunday was not about work, but solely about play. Part of our Christmas for Briley was a coupon to redeem for a visit to Sky Zone in Springfield and also to go ice skating. We planned both for the same day and we decided it would be best to leave Cooper baby home with Jimi and Tammy.

Talk about a crazy place, we got there when they are "least busy". All we ended up with were a lot of blurry photos, red faces, and sweaty heads. The boys loved it.

We can't go to Springfield without a stop at Bass Pro.

And finally, we were off to ice skate.........Bri did very good, once we got him in the right size skate. Griffin has some practicing to do. He and Drew ended up watching from the stands for the last little bit, but I think he still enjoyed it.

Everyone slept like a rock that night. It was a fun day.
