Deer Season, Painting, Thanksgiving, Josie Ray, and the BIG 3-0!

There was no time for blogging last month, and that means a big mixed blog entry.

I got the sweetest photo while I was in Springfield one weekend. Drew had taken Griffin to the deer stand for the first time. Miraculously, the most deaf doe in the country came out and hung around for Griffin to watch. They had a great (loud) time.

A few deer season pics:

I finally got to try a group painting place in Springfield with a couple friends. It's supposed to be relaxing, but when you are OCD and not artistic, it's actually quite the opposite! I'll try it again someday.

BTW, Cotton is doing great.

Drew and I drove up one night to meet sweet Josie Ray, who is Landrie's brand new little sister. It was so nice to spend some time with the Phillips'. We miss seeing them often. And wow, babies seem so small. They sleep through anything in the beginning. I had already forgotten what it's like. She was so sweet and cuddly. There's a good chance that we might need a 3rd child. I don't know!

My phone was dead at Thanksgiving and I didn't take my camera. So these 2 pictures are all I have, and courtesy of the Matherly family.

And finally, I had a mega birthday. Drew spent a lot of time planning a big gathering at the cabin with our close friends. He knows the way to my heart is via food, so he arranged to have all my favorite things there: Chick-Fil-A nuggets, Kent Rust's chicken, pulled pork, Eric made brisket & ribs, ceasar pasta salad, cheesy potatoes, Beth's Bake Shop cupcakes, and on and on. It was amazing.

Trevor sang Happy Birthday SO LOUD
