We love fall. September did not have much cool weather. As always, we spent a lot of time outside. Bow season began, so Drew tried to get some deer stand therapy whenever he could. The dogs were gearing up to go to the Dakotas, so they had a refresher course at the trainer in Pittsburgh, Kansas. Griffin has a new found love for taking funny boomerang videos and making hand signals that he did not learn from Drew or me. We had a homecoming parade that I was able to watch for the first time in years due to my new employment. I even picked up the boys and Charlotte from daycare for it. And there were too many beautiful sunsets to count.
When Drew took the dogs to Kansas, he dropped the kids and I off at Shiloh's. They got to hang with Chris for an hour while we took a very nice bike ride!
Boomer did awesome during his first time with live birds.
I finally got some more decorating done in the living room.
When Drew and his brother were little, they would walk from their grandparents' house up to the neighbor's house to play with their kids. Now, the neighbor has a granddaughter named Kaelyn that is Griffin's age and has always been a friend of his. He noticed her playing one Sunday afternoon and made his first trek up the hill.
Cotton did great at the training refresher also.
Monthly pics were in their underwear after the bath one night. More Griffin hand signs and funny faces as you'll see. It must be a school or daycare thing.
So much preparation for 20 minutes of photos, but it's worth it. It was almost 80 degrees the afternoon we took these. Who would have thought in October it would be so hot? I was expecting us to have vests or long-sleeved shirts when we scheduled. The best thing about these is that Cooper is wearing the same shirt Griffin had on in our family pictures from several years back.
The daycare offered Fall pictures this year through a local photographer we have never used. I was excited to see how they would turn out; she didn't disappoint. I told the ladies to give Griffin a thumb and saliva wipe down since he had to take his after a full day of kindergarten. Not too bad! How did I get so lucky?
