Meet Boomer

Suddenly and unexpectedly, our dog count has grown!
For a couple weeks in June we actually had 4 dogs if you include Scratchy the stray. We knew that Daniel (owner of Cotton's mother) was planning another litter but I didn't foresee Drew deciding to get another GSP to be complete his pair of hunting dogs so soon. It happened much like Duke came to us. The puppies were all sold and then mysteriously, 1 little guy was backed out on. Drew couldn't resist. I'm actually glad.

Meet Boomer.
(With a matching crazy registered name as Cotton--"Sir Boomer Pheasant Crusher"......gag)

Starting with the night we brought him home.....

Getting a little older here and learning tricks....

He's a very sweet and more laidback personality than Cotton, so far. Poor Tipper started out as his boss, but he gives her a run for her money now. More updated photos to come, he's growing like a weed.

Wings Over Whiteman 2017

We went big for our very first air show experience.

It was called Wings Over Whiteman and it takes place at Whiteman Air Force Base near Knob Noster, MO. I had heard about it while searching for the next Blue Angel performance near us almost a year ago. It went on my calendar, and as it approached we made arrangements to make it happen. Whiteman is home to the B2 Stealth Bomber, which makes round trips to war zones from right here in Missouri.

It was hot but VERY windy, and the kids tolerated the weather pretty well. Chris and Shiloh joined us and we had an awesome day.

And I took even more videos but will just put a handful here:
