This last month has been really fun. Drew has been so busy
with turkey season that I am gaining major points. It’s also exhausting to be
responsible for getting Griffin
and myself ready in the morning and on time (still trying to get a handle on
this) AND get him bathed, changed, and in bed each night while Drew is
finishing up at turkey camp. Once again, I don’t know how single parents do it.
New tricks/things we’ve done in the last month:
- Started
taking children’s Claritin – this has really helped at his most miserable
times, lots of rain lately has settled things down so we are all much
happier
- Visited
Great-Grandma Delores at her new place in Springfield twice – really fun to have
her an hour away
- McDonald’s/Walmart
trip with Briley joining us (see video)
- PAT
visit with Tiffany – she always gives us lots of tips and cool things to
do to help Griffin’s
development
- Spent
the night with Josh and Nicole in Springfield
and was treated to breakfast out while Drew and I ran in the Color Run
- 1st
visit to the dentist – I’ve been to Dr. Terry since I was a wee child and
she filled my mouth full of shiny silver caps (hopefully she won’t do the
same to Griffin) but she did take 10 minutes before my appointment to look
at his teeth and make sure they were all coming in, no decay, and that
things were good…and they were. He still has 8 more to go: top/bottom
canines and a set of molars on top/bottom
- Language
is developing quickly, it seems like he has all of the sudden started saying a ton of words and is attempting new words every day –
favorite one lately is the ever popular “no”
- Weighing in at about 25lbs according to the bathroom scale
Griffin is also perfecting his "knucks" move.....
